(13-07-2026) Xali Gold Corp. (TSX-V: XGC), Vancouver, a precious metals exploration company, announced that it has received formal confirmation from the Salcca Santa Ana Peasant Community supporting the continued advancement of its Pico Machay gold project in Peru’s Puno region.
During an extraordinary community assembly held on June 28, members approved the company’s request to conduct drilling, exploration, and environmental studies required for project development.
According to the company, the decision reflects a constructive relationship and a shared commitment to responsible community development alongside responsible mineral resource development.
Following four months of intensive community engagement based on mutual respect and transparency, Xali Gold intends to support community-led development initiatives focused on four key pillars:
- Healthcare
- Education
- Basic infrastructure
- Economic development and capacity building
Specific initiatives will be jointly defined with the community. The company plans to continue advancing baseline environmental studies while carrying out drilling to update the historical resource estimate and test exploration targets. Additional work will include geological mapping, resource modeling, surface and underground sampling, and technical studies supporting future economic assessments.
