(08-07-2024) Turmalina Metals Corp. (TSX-V: TBX; OTCQX: TBXXF; FSE: 3RI), Vancouver, exploration company for Au-Ag-Cu projects in South America, announced the signing of an Option Agreement between Compañía de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. – a local leader in precious metals production – and Aurora Copper Perú, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company Turmalina SubCo, whereby the optionor has granted Turmalina SubCo the option to acquire a 100% interest in 9 mining concessions of the Cu-Ag-Au Colquemayo project.
Colquemayo is an epithermal and porphyry Cu-Ag-Au exploration project located in the Moquegua province, southern Peru. Historical drilling results include an intersection that yielded 237.3 m @ 2.4% Cu, 0.08 g/t Au, and 10 g/t Ag, including 161.2 m @ 3.4% Cu, 0.09 g/t Au, and 31.3 m with 14.8% Cu, 0.2 g/t Au, and 47 g/t Ag.
Exploration to date has identified multiple epithermal and porphyry targets with significant drill intercepts, as well as several undrilled targets across the 6,600 ha property.
