(05-11-2025) On November 7 and 8, the Huancavelica region will once again host the “Wanka Willka Min 2025” Mining ExpoFair, a major regional mining gathering that will bring together companies, investors, institutions, and communities linked to the sector.

After agriculture and livestock, mining is one of the most important economic activities in the region, generating jobs, driving the local economy, and supporting development in its areas of influence. Its role has become a strategic engine in the fight against poverty and malnutrition, especially in rural communities where it coexists with agriculture and livestock in the same territory.

In this context, the “Wanka Willka Min 2025” Mining ExpoFair serves as a platform to promote responsible, sustainable mining that is in harmony with the environment, in line with the “Agrarian Government” policy led by the Huancavelica Regional Government.

The event seeks to generate awareness and action around environmental stewardship and aims to strengthen the synergies between mining, agriculture, and livestock—sectors that share territory and challenges but also opportunities for joint development.

Business Participation and Opportunities

The Mining ExpoFair will feature the participation of medium- and large-scale mining companies, small-scale miners, artisanal miners in the formalization process, and suppliers of machinery, explosives, and specialized inputs.

Special emphasis will be placed on the development of small-scale miners and artisanal miners, who are considered key actors in the regional economy. Discussions will address their role in the production chain and the incorporation of clean and innovative technologies to improve competitiveness while respecting environmental and social standards.

The “Wanka Willka Min 2025” Mining ExpoFair reaffirms that Huancavelica is currently one of the regions with the strongest competitive potential in mineral production, projecting itself strongly at the national and international levels.
