(05-11-2025) Lundin Gold (TSX | Nasdaq: LUG; OTCQX: LUGDF), Vancouver, a mining company focused on the operation of its Fruta del Norte (FDN) gold mine located in the copper-gold belt of Zamora in the Cordillera del Cóndor, southeastern Ecuador, on the border with Peru, has confirmed significant large-scale potential through its exploration program adjacent to the operation.

This follows the interception of the highest copper-gold porphyry grades recorded to date. The drilling program has defined an extensive mineralized system, highlighting not only continuity but also the potential for high-grade zones in key areas. The most notable results come from the Sandia target and the new discovery at Castillo:

Sandia (Record): Drill hole SND-2025-335 intercepted 606.70 meters grading 0.59% Copper Equivalent (CuEq), including 0.49% Cu and 0.10 g/t Au. This is the highest-grade interval in the near-surface porphyry program.

Castillo (New Discovery): A new porphyry center was confirmed, with drill hole CAS-2025-329 returning a near-surface high-grade zone of 35.55 meters at 2.79% CuEq, suggesting significant additional high-grade potential.

Trancaloma: The program continues to expand this system, with an intercept of 774.60 meters grading 0.38% CuEq, sustaining the large mineralized envelope.

Ron Hochstein, President and CEO of Lundin Gold, stated that these results confirm a porphyry system on a much larger scale than previously anticipated.

The discoveries at Sandia and Trancaloma define a continuous 5 km corridor of porphyry potential, which remains open for expansion in multiple directions. This finding underscores Lundin Gold’s commitment to exploration, with a planned 108,000-meter drilling program for 2025—the largest in the history of the FDN land package.

The company concludes that these results “highlight significant exploration potential along the trend of the newly discovered porphyry systems,” ensuring long-term sustainability.
