Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (NYSE: FSM; TSX: FVI), Vancouver, precious metals producer with operations in Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Europe, announced that it has acquired 14.91% of Prospero Silver Corp. (TSXV: PSL), Vancouver, generator of precious metals prospects with operations in Mexico.
The acquisition was done through a sale of shares for Cad$1.5 million (5,357,142 units at a price of Cad$0.28). With this money, Prospero will fund the drilling of three precious metals projects: Matorral, Petate and Pachuca SE.
…and announces the resumption of financial state publications
The company added that it will publish its financial results and the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) corresponding to 2016 and Q1’2017, on the 15th and 24th of May respectively. The delay was due to a review conducted by the Canadian Securities and Exchange Commission, around Fortuna’s use of inferred resources for the calculation of the depreciation of mineral resources.
