Bear Creek Mining Corporation (TSX-V: BCM), Vancouver, junior company that operates the silver projects Santa Ana and Corani, in Puno, expects the initiation of the construction of the latter in mid-2019.
“Our Environmental Impact Assessment has been approved and now we need the permits of different ministries and institutions of the Administration to begin construction”, said Andres Franco, VP of the junior miner.
Corani is Peru’s largest silver project. It has the EIA and the feasibility study completed, but it requires US$625 million for development. It is estimated that it will produce an average of 8.4 million ounces of silver per year for a lifespan of 18 years.
